How to Write a Blog Post

How to Write a Blog Post

The Blog is one of your website’s most valuable marketing tools. Whether you’re blogging about fashion, science, education, business, or lifestyle, your ultimate goal is to get yourself, your expertise , or your business out to the world. This is  the way to reach your niche audience.

These steps will help you get started with your blog creation:

Attention-Grabbing Headline

An attention-grabbing headline makes your readers want to read your post right away. Make sure to choose a compelling title , otherwise your blog will not be read or shared.

Stand out Introduction

This is the second, most relevant part for grabbing your readers’ attention. If the first few sentences aren’t catchy enough, you will lose your readers. So, try to use humour, or tell an interesting fact right in the beginning. Then, describe the content of the topic, and give readers a reason to continue reading by explaining how it can help them.

Relevant Subheadings

Readers usually skim through the article before they actually decide to read it. Subheadings let you break up content making it easier for your audience to find the information most useful  for them, and skip the paragraphs they don’t need.

Bullet Points

Bullet points are great because they help grouping related ideas, and making them more digestible for readers. Use numbered and unnumbered bullets, but make sure not to write paragraphs in bullets. Breaking up an article with long lists or sentences with bullet points makes your blog scannable.

  • First, you’ll read this
  • After that, you’ll notice this
  • Then, you’ll have a glance at this
  • And at last, you’ll finish on this.

Captivating Images

It is more difficult to process the article when there’s no visual stimulation. Adding relevant images will increase blog post engagement by making it visually appealing. Images help readers understand complex topics, and remember your content better, so take advantage of visuals as much as you can.

Call-to-Action

Insert a call-to-action at the end of your post if you want your readers to do anything like subscribing to your blog, buying your product, or signing up to your newsletter. Make sure to mention the benefit your readers will get.

FAQs

Do terrariums require a lot of maintenance?

Terrariums are self contained ecosystems that create a humid atmosphere that recycles moisture. Once water is initially added to the container in small quantities, the container will maintain the moisture level provided. If too much water is added, you may need to let your container air out from time to time. If there is not enough moisture, you may need to add a little (sparingly) to provide adequate levels for all plants. We provide instructions for what to look for and how to care for your terrarium. Plants may outgrow their container, and others may stop growing over time - just as any houseplant would. Our subscriptions are a great way to keep your terrarium looking fresh.

When do I pay for my subscription?

The first payment is taken upon signup and purchase. All shipments after the first payment will be billed on the 1st of the month every 3 months for as long as you choose.

When will I get my Subscription Boxes?

Because we receive our fresh plants and supplies on a regular schedule, our shipments are prepared as follows:

  • New subscriptions registered by the 10th day of the month will be prepared for shipment around the 20th of the same month.
  • New subscriptions registered AFTER the 10th day of the month will be moved to the following month and shipped on the 20th.
  • All remaining boxes in your subscription will arrive every 3 months after the month you received your first box.
  • All first boxes are charged immediately during checkout regardless of when the box is scheduled to ship. Subsequent boxes will always ship on the 1st day of the month they will arrive.

Can I give a subscription as a gift?

Yes! The above shipping notes pertain to all subscriptions, so plan your purchase accordingly. You are able to choose how many boxes to send and can pause or cancel the subscription any time after your first box.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes of course. Subscriptions can be cancelled any time after the first box. You can also pause your subscription and resume shipments at a later date.

How do I report damaged items?

Should your order arrive with damage - broken glass, plants in bad shape, missing items - please take photos of the damage and contact us within 48 hrs of delivery. We will determine the best way to quickly remedy the situation once we have the full details. Claims not made within the first 48hrs of delivery may be subject to replacement fees in the case of damaged plants not reported immediately. We are NOT responsible for containers or plants that are damaged after delivery and/or setup, plants that die after deliver and/or setup, or containers and plants that acquire pests, mold, etc. after delivery and/or set up.
